Before modern coffee shops or espresso machines became part of Thai life, “O Liang Coffee” emerged from local wisdom and the simple pace of rural living. The term “o liang” comes from the Teochew dialect “o-liang,” meaning black tea. Once it made its way to Thailand, however, it was uniquely adapted by blending in strong coffee, ultimately becoming the “O Liang Coffee” we know today.
